The Katie Stretcher

The Katie stretcher has been developed under the auspices of the Mountain Rescue Committee of Scotland from a donation in memory of Catherine Smith, who died in the Himalayas from altitude sickness whilst on honeymoon in 1992. Snowsled Rescue has completed the project at the production stage, following testing and evaluation of prototypes by Scottish rescue teams over several years, led by James Kean of the Kintail Mountain Rescue Team.

Production for confirmed orders is expected to start in September when final trials have taken place.
