The standard Snowsled design incorporates both a waist and shoulder element, together with a chest strap, and is advised for all but the lightest loads. A simple waist-only harness is also available.
We are told they are
probably the most
comfortable harnesses available!
As a general guide, the following minimum body waist measurements apply (wearing minimal
clothing). If however, you are very tall and slim, or otherwise feel you may not be within the size range below, please supply waist and height details and we will make allowance for this at no extra cost.
Small Medium Large
81-89 cms (32—35 ins) 92—104 cms (36-41 ins) 107—117 cms (42-46 ins)

Bear in mind that you may well feel more comfortable wearing your harness slightly lower than the waist, possibly nearer your hips. The sizes above allow for thermal and shell layers.
The belts use a duel density foam layer within a hardwearing Cordura cover, the softer foam being nearer the body. The adjustable shoulder straps are a double layer of 50 mm webbing, with a moveable and adjustable chest strap. In practice, sizes overlap one another to a small extent. If in doubt, go for larger size rather than smaller.
Both waist and combined harnesses are available for attachment to either rope or rigid shaft and also with both these features on the same harness if required, for example, if the harness is being used for training using ropes, before the expedition.
