Snowsled

The standard Snowsled design incorporates both a waist and shoulder element, and is advised for all but the lightest loads. A simpler waist-only harness is also available.

Sizes;  

As a general guide, the following minimum body waist measurements apply (wearing minimal clothing). If, however, you are very tall and slim, for example, or feel you may not be within the size range below, please supply waist and height details and we will make allowance for this at no extra cost.

• Bear in mind that you may well feel more comfortable wearing your harness slightly lower than your waist, possibly at hip level. The sizes above allow for thermal and shell clothing layers.
  

   

• The belts use a duel density foam layer within a hard wearing Cordura cover, the softer foam being on the inside.  At times you may find it more comfortable to haul with the waistbelt loosened.

• Adjustable shoulder straps are a double layer of 50 mm webbing, with a moveable and adjustable chest strap to ensure a comfortable fit.
  
  
• Standard harnesses are designed for hauling by either ropes or rigid shafts – please specify which when ordering. On request, both these features can be made available on the same harness.
  
  
• Training harnesses. There is no difference between harnesses for training (eg. hauling tyres) and for hauling pulks. You can therefore buy one harness to do both jobs. However, bear in mind that tyres are hauled by ropes, whereas you may eventually be hauling pulks using rigid shafts, and therefore will need both hauling features on the same harness unless you buy two different harnesses. There is a small extra cost involved.
