First Consider

The three Paramo ‘Pull-on’ garments, in Nickwax Parameta S polyester fabric, are extremely comfortable and thermally efficient layers. With easy to adjust ventilation, these garments are designed to work beneath Paramo outer layer garments. May be used as base layers but in colder climates an additional layer may be needed underneath. www.paramo.co.uk

Other Options - synthetic or merino fleece

Consider the many garments in the Ullfrotte range (min. 66% merino wool), of various thickesses, both women’s and men’s styles. www.woolpower.se

Consider also the polyester fleece garments from Rab, including some windproof designs and also women’s styles. www.rab.uk.com/

Don’t forget that synthetic and down filled vests may be a suitable option, allowing freedom of arm movement whilst providing significant body Insulation (from Rab).
