New for this season are small but important design changes to the Ice Blue pulks and hauling shafts. These were needed to simplify the fitting of hauling shafts. Previously, the two shafts bolting to the pulk were left- and right-handed and bolted to the rounded sides of the pulk shell.

Now, the pulk shell has been reshaped at the front, with a flat area at each side. The shafts bolting to the shell are now identical and can go either side (but the pins and bolts still go through in different directions – bolts from the inside and pins from the outside). To enable this change, the black shaft plates also required re-shaping.
Also, the cross bar on the shaft has been modified; the T-pieces with Velcro have gone and been replaced with a triangle shaped acetal block which encloses the pole, and rests against a stop on the shell poles. These will be easier to fit and stronger and won’t need checking and adjusting during your journey.
