Komatik Trailer Sleds
These were developed as stable platforms for scientific field equipment and for 
hauling heavy loads over short distances or taking field party equipment far from base.
We have made these in different sizes to customers requirements, from 2.0 m (6 ft 6 ins) X 60 cms (2 ft), to the large 4.5 m (14 ft 9 ins) X 2.2 m (7 ft 3 ins) shown.
Towing A-frames can be supplied, and are detachable, or store up when parked. Alternatively, towing with ropes may be appropriate.
Basic length, width and height can be manufactured to suit customer requirements, consistent with size and weight of load.
Construction: this varies depending on size, but the larger sizes have ply box 
section sides, glued and screwed, on UHMW polyethylene soled runners. The lateral ash wood slats are lashed with Nylon cord, and all wood parts are liberally treated with linseed oil.
