As an outer layer of two or three, this should always be a mitt. Large, easy access for the hands is an important requirement, which is rare to find in normal production products (apart from the Snowsled handbags, shown).
For safety sake, it is useful to hang them around the neck, from loops on the handbag cuffs – you can’t risk hand protection blowing away!
The Snowsled ‘handbag’ system allows for very efficient management of hand protection.
- The outer shell is pure cotton Ventile fabric- extremely breathable and ideal in dry cold environments. Spandura fabric palm cover for superb wear resistance.
- Inner lining is Nikwax Parameta S fabric with mesh lining – to add warmth and for ease of entry.
- Long gauntlet to mid-forearm.
- One handed tightening at cuff.
- Elasticated back of hand.
- Seamless palm and thumb.
- Shaped back.
- The size is adequate to allow an additional thick mitt plus a thin fleece glove inside.
- The inner is attached to the outer with Velcro at the cuff and can be removed for efficient drying and cleaning.
- Handbags come with a fully adjustable shoulder strap included in price.
