With many years travel and logistic management experience in Antarctica and the Arctic, we understand well the practical requirements for reliable, well designed and efficient equipment in the field.

Snowsled started life in 1988 and has been manufacturing equipment for scientific and adventurous expeditions ever since. The product range has expanded, been continually refined and is at the leading edge in terms of innovation, design and quality of manufacture. We remain a small company, with the ability to react fast to customer requests.

We enjoy regular contact with our customers and, with their input and experience, design and performance is continually monitored to keep up to date with changing fieldwork requirements.

Though equipment and clothing for expeditions continue to be the major product areas, more and more is the casualty protection and rescue side becoming important. The vacuum mattress is used by all the mountain rescue teams in England and Wales and most in Scotland and Ireland. There will be two major new rescue products available later in the year.
